In the final immunity challenge he stepped out of it (it was the one where they all keep their hand on a central pole) to leave Rudy and Kelly to it. He knew they’d both take him to the end.
At final 3, Rich voluntarily quit the immunity challenge - [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/survivor/s/PsoHM4K053) better explains why it was a genius move, but basically it was a way for him to get to the final without losing jury votes.
Has to be snakes and rats speech. Season 1 finale, the game was still being learned and not many knew what survivor truly was about. If you didn’t know what survivor was about before that speech, you sure did after. Iconic. Probably the reason survivor got renewed tbh.
Although I am a fan, I do not memorize names and seasons, but I do remember moments:
- The time the Shot-in-the-Dark actually worked.
- When the three tribes resulted in only one person (female) being left on her tribe before the merge.
- When someone tried pulling off the emblem from the Tribal Council podium, thinking it might be hiding an Immunity Idol.
- That first time Russell found an idol with no clue
- When Jonathan literally pulled the boat to the shore from the ocean by himself
- When the "under the gate" water challenge was called a tie because the tide had come in and gone out
- Richard Hatch said in the first season, he will win...and did
- The kid giving up his immunity necklace and getting voted out
- Phillip (?) leaving with not one, but two idols
- Colby, losing to Tima because he picked the wrong 3rd person
- No challenge Sandra winning three times
Just to name a few.
These will be unpopular opinions but something my husband and I quote all the time is Ned Schneebly’s “Owwwww…. Bitch!” Because he got hit by a branch or something
Stealth R Us… just thinking of Phillip I start laughing to the point where I actually really like the guy for how much laughter I’ve had because of his delusions.
When Devens found and played four idols lol poor guy deserved to stay at that point
One that sticks out for me is on Heroes vs. Villains when Russel plays two idols (including JTs) to save his villains. This was the moment the cast realized how good of a player Russel is. They had no idea what they were in for.
The most iconic is probably Johnny Fairplay's dead grandma lie or maybe Boston Rob proposing to Amber in the All Stars finale.
Tough to choose between dead grandma and Snakes and Rats.
The three ladies convincing Erik to give away his immunity necklace to show trust and then voting him out
My favorite blindside ever.
The greatest survivor moment of all time is the gaslighting of Erik and it’s not even close!
You mean four ladies
Jason’s stick idol on Micronesia (“it has a face on it!”), Coach’s spiritual Exile Island experience, and of course, dead grandma
Shane watching Bruce’s boat depart while completely naked.
It’s a fucking stick
Parv’s 2 idols were pretty wild. FairPlay’s dead Grandma.
Parvs 2 idols is my favorite move for sure
My two favorites are 'always bet on black' and Parvati giving away 2 idols at once to completely stone the other tribe.
The two idols was so epic
Saying anything other than Q playing hide and seek for strategy? Big Mistake
Christmas is Cancelled
Saying Q playing hide and seek for strategy? Big mistake.
“Wentworth, does not count”.
Dead grandma, Rupert stealing the shoes, James being voted out with 2 idols
Remember when Rupert tried to build that shelter for the challenge by digging in the sand on the beach… big mistake
"He's a Jew, and he won't eat the ham! He's a Jew!"
Noelle’s massive challenge comeback win
Rich stepping down in Borneo is up there.
What do you mean stepping down?
In the final immunity challenge he stepped out of it (it was the one where they all keep their hand on a central pole) to leave Rudy and Kelly to it. He knew they’d both take him to the end.
Thanks for the reminder

Yeah that was genius. Just the step down confused me
Snakes and rats. Survivor wouldn't have ever been the show it is if it wasn't for that

One of my favorite lines; Jeff: “So what happened to the machete?” Sandra: “Jeff, it grew a pair of legs and got up and walked away!!” God I love her!
Susan’s Snakes and Rats speech. It controlled the vote that night. The first jury. The first bitter jury. 23 years later and can still feel the venom.
After 2 seasons of him being a mad tyrant, Sandra burning Russells hat is iconic.
“Because I’m a people person Baylor. You’re a brat”
The whole Tony episode in Winners at War
Voting confessionals for the Randy boot in Gabon.
JT sending an idol love letter to Parvati and Russell
If international versions can count, I regularly go back to THAT tribal council in Survivor Australia's Heroes vs Villains season

Thats more then a few for sure

"I'm against you, Russell."
Sandra Diaz-Twine … The Queen stays the Queen!
Coach’s trip to exile.
