Right now there are multiple issues that could be occuring, the best thing you can do is call EA's helpline/helpdesk and get support for swtor that way. Secondly, you can try manually resetting your ea (NOT [SWTOR.COM](https://SWTOR.COM)) but [ea.com](https://ea.com) account by logging in using your swtor credentials on ea website, choosing a new password, then logging into swtor and resetting the password to the same new one you just set on ea website. That fixes it for some people. If that does not fix it, make sure your credit credentials on [swtor.com](https://swtor.com) billing page are not expired or out of date. If you have exhausted both of these its simply better to call them then put an email at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) with the subject BILLING HELP if you dont wish to call.

SpiritedWisdom

I'm in Australia I can't call the bastards unfortunately.

SpiritedWisdom

I've emailed them with a screenshot of my sub purchase from steam and asked them what we do about it.

I've heard people say any purchases made through steam is bugged and a hassle. I always use the website when purchasing cartel coins or membership.

LupusWhiteWolf

I did the exact opposite. I switched to steam because of the websites glitchy nature At least through steam I can get a refund if things go wrong where on the website if it malfunctioned but still took my money the customer service response was always them saying a nice way of saying get fucked

SpiritedWisdom

I tried using the website and got the following "There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support for further assistance." Even though the game works fine and yes I'm using the same email for SWTOR, Steam and EA. I've emailed SWTOR support after steam directed me to them, said they can pretty much give me another month sub as compensation. Because I've wasted time and money paying for a service I'm not getting and by the time this is rectified (if at all) it'll be 2-3 days wasted.

BnBman

Then it's an issue with ea not swtor, contact ea

SpiritedWisdom

Stellar advice man, did that, EA were useless and said they couldn't see an issue with my account.

darcreaven

Do not buy through steam go to swtor.com

thededman13

I have had it take up to an hour to go from pref to sub

SpiritedWisdom

Really? It never used to take that long, but I haven't played in years, thought I'd come back now that there's a place for APAC servers and to catch up on the half hour of Story Content they've probably added since KOTET.

Aries_cz

There is an unfortunately random delay before Steam and SWTOR servers exchange data (I think they send it in batches few times per day). And even more unfortunatly, it means that the data gets lost on the way. Emailing SWTOR support with creenhot of the purchase email (or just attach the email itself) and other data (time of purchases, etc) will help. For future, it is much easier to buy the subscription directly from SWTOR website

SpiritedWisdom

I did try that and got the following "There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support for further assistance." Even though the game works fine and yes I'm using the same email for SWTOR, Steam and EA. I've emailed SWTOR support after steam directed me to them, said they can pretty much give me another month sub as compensation.
