Two minds
1. For the memes. Pick Bronny. Piss everyone off.
2. Dont pick Bronny so we dont have Klutch raging at us (this has a lot of implications for the Wolves with their clients)
Dilemma
You don't annoy agents just for funsies. There has been and will be times in the future that we have a guy we want in 2nd round. We want to make sure we get them.
The dumbest thing in sports is me once again trying to carry the water for a shorter approach and taking a penalty stroke, the second dumbest thing in sports is apparently Tyler Kolek. But after those two it definitely seems like the NBA’s draft trade finalizing is up next. I don’t know why they can’t just staff a few smart people who, let’s be honest aren’t out getting tail anyway, can just verify the trades in real time.
Cam Christie or Justin Edwards would've been a nice pick if he we still had #37, but I understand wanting to save money by getting off the Moore contract.
Also helps the pain a little that Kolek, Furphy, and Tyler Smith all got taken right before #37 which were guys I really wanted the Wolves to get
I'm a little bummed that AJ Mitchell was there for us at 37 but we had to give that pick away just to dump WMJ's salary. OKC were able to give a player similar to WMJ for 52 straight up, I wonder what made WMJ negative value and not that player?
Oh well we wouldn't be able to play AJ anyway
Listen just give me fucking Bronny James for the memes. The pick does not matter. Nobody is gonna play for this roster that gets picked here so literally why not make a play for him. Increase jersey sales. Hold him ransom for a trade. And give us an outside chance at LeBron
You cant convince me this isnt entirely about Brons ego.
Absolutely nothing he has done has been for Bronny over the last year lmfao.
Wants his son in the NBA asap. For the team that Bron wants. Not letting Bronny develop and earn his shot. Not letting a team take a flier on Bronny. Not let him stay in college and develop.
All so he can say he played with his son
All thats gonna happen is the media and fans will crucify Bronny
It's always been about LeBron's ego. He's always been the best at everything he does and he wants everybody to know it. Now he's realizing that he isn't the best at producing NBA children and it's destroying him so he needs to keep pushing all this bullshit. He'll retire get the Las Vegas team and Bronny will have a nice long career as one of the worst players in the league because he's forcing the GM to keep his son around.
dang, was kind of hoping we would take Nikola Djurisic so Ant could talk him into talking trash to Jokic for fun or at least teaching him some trash talk
Am I crazy or was there a story that Rich Paul told Gerson he couldn’t draft Maxey because we already drafted a Klutch guard in Ant so we pivoted to McDaniels ?
So someone who has their hands on the pulse of the draft more explain to me why we still had the 37 today when I thought we traded it and Moore for the 53?
Got it, so at the moment it’s essentially just a handshake agreement and everything will be finalized afterwards and we’re just doing the work for them and they’re doing the work for us
Antonio Reeves! Was teammates with Rob Dillingham at Kentucky so they have a lot of chemistry already. He's a three point specialist off the bench at shooting guard and can contribute right away playing 5-10 minutes a game like Troy Brown Jr. did before we traded him.
Edit: Pelicans took him. *Sad wolf noises*
Damn, OKC got *both* the guys I'd been hoping for at 27/37 (Mitchell and Jones, although I expected them to go in the opposite order lol). I mean, I can't be mad, we went Dilly-mode, but still stings a little to have it be OKC.

1 all the way. Tell rich paul to fuck off while doing it.
Damn our guy got picked during a Papa Johns commercial lol edit: jk nvm that's to Memphis
Why are NBA accounts acting like we still have #37? Im stupid and don’t understand
Because the NBA refuses to alter their calendar so that draft trades are immediately final.
That’s so dumb lol
Dumbest thing in sports. Makes it way too confusing for the average person to follow along
It’s a little thing but it bugs me that we’ll never have video or photos of Dillingham in Wolves gear on draft night.
Killed me that they pass out spurs gear to him and his family even knowing that the trade happened

[Minnesota has traded No. 57 to Toronto, source says.](https://x.com/wojespn/status/1806450707618222542?t=t3Wt-X7RNLImoyQ3rPegcg&s=19)
Luxury tax got us punting everything to next year
Bummer, guess we'll have to wait till summer league to see what's next.

Justin Edwards is still available at 53.
Dawg we waited all this time just to not pick in the second round for cash considerations 😭😭😭
What did we get for moving down
#57
Cash?
We offloaded a contract
I'm a little bummed that AJ Mitchell was there for us at 37 but we had to give that pick away just to dump WMJ's salary. OKC were able to give a player similar to WMJ for 52 straight up, I wonder what made WMJ negative value and not that player? Oh well we wouldn't be able to play AJ anyway
Is this Jaden McDaniels GOAT on twitter??
Nah I am lyla eloise on twitter haha (formerly Slim-Ticket on this sub)
GOAT.
Goat
Bronny falling this far makes me think Lebron has no intention of leaving the Lakers and made that clear to other teams
Thank god we didn’t pick Bronny
Lakers shaking hands like they just pulled off a huge steal in the draft. They were handed a player..
They were handed a dude that is nowhere near NBA caliber lmao
Glad thats over Wolves had a really good draft and the NBA/ESPN coverage is some of the worst I've ever seen.
cmon I haven't been able to get excited for a new guy in almost a day, I need my fix. Pick one more guy.
I'd take McCullar for sure, but I dunno, maybe they want a big or a stash at this point
Now we got 57
?
Damn I really wanted Cam Spencer at #53... A PG, a Wing and Movement Shooter would have been such a good draft.
There's a still an opportunity to sign Riley Minix as an UDFA :)
Well one of the benefits/drawbacks of being literally one of the most complete teams in the league is that the offseason is really fucking boring lmao
all things considered, this draft was 10x more exciting than I expected it to be
Yeah we got a lottery level player for basically nothing.
Bronny
Justin Edwards plz
This ESPN draft coverage is shit, no idea what trades are going on and anything involved. What even happened to the Wolves stuff lol, we have no idea
Listen just give me fucking Bronny James for the memes. The pick does not matter. Nobody is gonna play for this roster that gets picked here so literally why not make a play for him. Increase jersey sales. Hold him ransom for a trade. And give us an outside chance at LeBron
Two hours until I get to quit seeing Bronnyposting 🙌 🙌 🙌
I’m gonna go at you so hard when we draft him hehe jk
This guy's getting paid off by Big Australia!
Rich Paul's plan in case Bronny James gets drafted by a team he doesn't like is to have Bronny play in Australia, per Bob Myers.
Oh no another year of development for a guy who clearly isn’t ready for the NBA
Not sure if he’s even good enough to play in Australia
I just heard that too haha I guess we will find out
Even better. Just hold his rights hostage.
That’s cute. Pick him
Rip the bronny dream
Why is there only 58 picks and not 60
Sixers and suns got theirs taken away for tampering I believe
tampering penalties I believe
We traded Cam Spencer to Memphis.
Ah shit. No Bronny memes. I imagine we'll also move out of 57 if possible
Isaiah Crawford 🙏 But I would be surprised if we just moved out this draft at this point.
Does anyone know what we got for moving out of our pick tonight?
Did we just get cash? Thats boring

I just want a team to take bronny before the lakers and leverage him for a future 2nd. Feel like everybody is afraid to cross bron and rich Paul tho.
"Watch this" - Tim "The Conman" Connelly
Rich Paul is telling people *not* to draft Bronny at this point. The whole thing is sad and I’m surprised LeBron let it go down this way.
Called it! Trading out of the round
Crawford as an undrafted signing would be cool
Well this round was a waste to watch on the side
Sadness Kings got Jamal Shaed edit: jk Toronto
Am I crazy or was there a story that Rich Paul told Gerson he couldn’t draft Maxey because we already drafted a Klutch guard in Ant so we pivoted to McDaniels ?
Bronny time y’all
So is Spencer off to Memphis?
Well the bronny dream is dead. Glad I won’t be seeing those posts anymore lol. Welcome to MN Cam!
He's going to Memphis I believe
Traded to Memphis
See that lol. Apparently I can’t read
We moved to #57
can't imagine they have big plans if they're trading down again, random euro stash probably
Jalen Bridges, Justin Edwards, or Nfaly Dante @ Tim Connelly
How many times can we trade a pick?
We’re pretty bare on picks. Need to accumulate the next 5 years lol
Lads, what is going on? Where is our second round pick gone?
basically sold it off to get out of Wendell Moore's contract
bruh
This panel has been talking about Bronny James the whole time, Jesus Fucking Christ dude
some interesting UDFA still, but with our depth, I can't imagine we'll get too much of a priority with agents.
Draft DJ Burns and get him on that Naz Reid training plan.
So someone who has their hands on the pulse of the draft more explain to me why we still had the 37 today when I thought we traded it and Moore for the 53?
Trade isn't finalized so technically we drafted at 37, but we drafted for Detroit.
Got it, so at the moment it’s essentially just a handshake agreement and everything will be finalized afterwards and we’re just doing the work for them and they’re doing the work for us
Correct
Thank you for the clarification!
The Wolves don’t have 37 any more. It just shows up as the Wolves’ pick because the NBA is weird.
Why is Christie dropping so much. Thought he was better than Wells and potentially 20 something pick but he just keeps dropping
The Clippers love their Minnesota Golden Gophers. First it was Amir Coffey, then Daniel Oturu, and now Cam Christie. Sheesh!
I wanted Coffey too and they keep crushing my Homer dreams
Who does everyone want at 53? The few names I liked who are still left are Christie, Ajinca, Freeman, and Reeves.
Bronny for the lulz
Antonio Reeves! Was teammates with Rob Dillingham at Kentucky so they have a lot of chemistry already. Jalen Bridges or Justin Edwards @Tim Connelly
I didnt reaize round 2 started so early. Im hoping we take bronny at 53 just for the chaos to happen
Hopefully justin edwards gets down to 53 if we dont take bronny
whats his elo
[Shams is in hell.](https://x.com/ShamsCharania/status/1806446023117615236?t=kgDdsONwkAFiosNrtWLxcg&s=19)
ON THE CLOCK
OKC finally gets a shooting center
Damn, OKC got *both* the guys I'd been hoping for at 27/37 (Mitchell and Jones, although I expected them to go in the opposite order lol). I mean, I can't be mad, we went Dilly-mode, but still stings a little to have it be OKC.
I wonder they are getting soo many guards though
Agreed Ajay Mitchell was my draft crush.
