Keefe D had already been providing security services for him with his gang. Tupac ended up getting in a fight with Orlando Anderson, who was Keefe D's nephew and fellow Crip. Keefe D decided that it was time to get revenge for Orlando and collect the 1 million from Diddy so he got Orlando and 2 other Crips to shoot Tupac. Diddy allegedly sent the 1 million to a ganster called Eric Von Zip to give to Keefe, but Eric kept the money. Keefe D ended up snitching on himself and Diddy later so now he's facing trial.

My uncle used to work on the sets of music videos in NYC years ago.. he did a bunch of work on videos with diddy and big.
Coincidentally, every time I went to visit and had my Walkman/headphones on, he’d ask who I was listening to. On two separate visits I was listening to 1. Puff Daddy and the family and 2. P diddy 2000 era album. Both times he scoffed and said, “Puffy is a crook, if you ever see him tell him he owes me 5k.” 14 year old me was shocked to say the least. If you destroy a video “with the intent that the action will result in someone being charged with a crime”, that is tampering with evidence. That means it is a crime to destroy a video that would EXONERATE someone who could be charged with crime, not that deleting a video that could be used to charge someone with a crime is a crime.
