*Elections have consequences…*
I don’t see a FTC under Biden approving the Kroger / Safeway merger. A FTC under Trump however . . .
T-Mobile promised a lot of things when they got their purchase of Sprint pushed through during the Trump administration. Once approved, they began to walk back nearly every single thing they had promised. Over 5K employees were laid off and the moment their agreement on not to raise prices after three years expired, prices were increased for those on the T-Mobile side (Sprint customers received two years of extra protection thanks to state AGs).
I have no idea if this anecdote is true, but I ran into a dude that got laid off by T-Mobile. He claimed that after the acquisition of Sprint, the Sprint folks somehow managed to embed themselves into T-Mobile's management.
IE, T-Mobile thoroughly defeated Sprint, they bought the dumpster fire that was Sprint, and then somehow the dumpster fire emerged victorious. Sad!
Do you know where they will be located? I've selfishly been hoping something will happen with the old K-Mart location on Spring Mountain and Rainbow, haha.
No because their selection and continuity between stores sucks. It’s impossible to find what you’re actually looking for because every store is set up differently. The selection and variety of products is total crap. They have some of the major brands but not all and it’s limited even with what they do have. The produce quality in every store is so bad. The only store that has decent produce is Whole Foods and maybe Trader Joe’s.
BS! Over 20 Albertsons have closed since 2008, Food 4 Less also left, Raleys left Nevada as well, 2 small layout stores like Aldi means zero. This so called report fails to mention that many Hispanic and Asian centric supermarkets barely break even, that's why they barely pay minimum wage at part time hours, low employee reviews. As for Smith's, they pay $12-14 hr, who can live on that except high schoolers and semi retired workers.
This is a typical booster story by the politically connected scumreporters at the RJ. They ran it because they want to make the local economy look vibrant so politicians running for reelection can look good. That said, no voter has ever been persuaded by politically motivated stories in the RJ. Likely a real estate developer paid for this story to be ran so it can be used to justify higher commercial rents.
> Aldi sucks.
Why? I would be most interested in if Aldi has poor fresh produce/ prices and it's sale and regular prices are not closer to say a Sam's Club or a Costco than a Smith's or Albertsons.
I keep hearing about H-Mart, Aldi, and Grocery Outlet looking to come to Vegas, but where are they??
Grocery Outlet is here it’s on Blue Diamond by the target.
Grocery Outlet needs more locations ASAP.
They are building one on Saint Rose near the Costco.
I live down the street from it and it always seems to be more expensive then smiths with worse quality products
Omg I didn’t know. Thanks so much. I remember checking the locations on their site a while back and it hadn’t show up there yet.
Hmart by October from what I've heard
Aldi isn't enough. And if the Smiths/ Albertsons merger somehow goes through we're still screwed Six Ways to Sunday.
I wouldn't mind a few more WinCo's placed around the valley.
Would love a WinCo in the SW.

>prices were increased for those on the T-Mobile side Not for me. My ass is still on the 2 lines for a $100. No price increases in sight.
[Sure Jan.](https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/s/8cxiLkqXW8)
Then it hasn't hit mine. I just rechecked my bill and nothing has increased.
Walmart is the one putting a cap on prices
La Bonita is the valley's best kept secret.
3 more coming, next is Nellis and Bonanza in the old KMart
I’ve only been in Cardenas… are they similar?
Trader Joe’s is getting 2 new locations in the next 3 years

STOP Supporting Big Box Retailers, go local, Go OmegaMart.
Super markets in Las Vegas are complete garbage.
I wish we had wegmans or HEB
God I miss Wegmans.
And (not a grocery store) Wawa
I’m demanding to relocate to a state with a Wegmans when we move.
They all have snow. Which is a deal breaker for me lol.
Why?
because its super cool to be edgy and call things garbage

Unpopular opinion: Aldi sucks.

Not unpopular at all, Aldi is the unloved Crack Baby of a one night hookup between Target & Walmart.
