NE Iowa store, we had McD since the store opened. Now it’s OGP, and two years later there knocking the wall down and expanding us out so we have dbl the space.
we had a McDonalds in our store but they left when we remodeled almost 2 years ago. Were supposed to get a Charlie's cheese steak as well but instead the spot has been empty for amost 2 years--- with the exception of OPD using it for Holiday orders and for Express orders.
One in my area still has a McDonald's. It's nice. Not a fan of subway. They recently remodeled another store and put in a Domino's. Never seen that before. But my favorite is the store that has an Auntie Anne's pretzel place.
2019 yeh that's about time my store lost the McDonalds. I think McDonalds realized (their corporate leadership in Illinois) that being in Walmart is a mistake cause they can't have a drive through window. The one in my store simply was not profitable for the franchise owner.
As of right now my Walmart is one of the only ones around that I know has one. My partner who works for OSL hasn't seen a Mcdonalds in a Walmart besides mine. Apparently they are going to get rid of it when the lease is up though because OGP need more space after they already took our bank :/
We lost ours a few years ago. Everyone kept expecting something to go in its place but nothing has appeared. Seems like a waste of possible profit for Walmart just having it all boarded up. The other rental spaces in the store have tenants that come and go but something is always there.
No restaurant/fast food wanted to move into our building so we have a false wall that covers a huge empty restaurant room that we used for the health screening room but then market decided it would be better to use it as storage so we then moved the health screening room to a room that was much smaller we used for storage before
I WISH we had some kind of eatery in ours! We have the space for it, which used to be a bank (we use it currently to store severely oversized items from pick runs).
The Dunkin in town is TERRIBLE (corporate owned location), so everyone’s hoping that the owners of the MUCH nicer Dunkins in the neighboring towns / citiea consider our Walmart so the area FINALLY has a good Dunkin.
Mine has Dominoes that does not sell individual pizza slices lol. Like so dumb, they would get SO many employees buying lunch there but they are like nah you must buy an entire pizza right now
Mine used to have Subway. They closed it, tore everything subway related out and turned the shell into an oversized Clearance section. They’re saying that they’re not really sure what they’re going to do with it. Originally they said they were going to make it the new Service Desk area and turn the current Service Desk area into an expansion of OGP. But idk what they’re going to do with it, since they don’t even seem to know.. lol 😂
Y'all are lucky on the food thing I work in a neighborhood market they don't have no restaurants all they have is the deli I never tried the food they cook I heard the food was great but if you want a hamburger or Subway or whatever you got to leave the premises at lunch to get that damn I wish I had a McDonald's in my store.
Cherish it. If shopping with family, thats the one to go to whilst waiting for them to finish.
First it was a tim hortons, then one down the street opened so it turned into a subway, then one was built down the street so it turned into a mcdonalds (also one down the street, lol).
Now it's a massive space for OG and apparently, it's still small
Mine has a Dunken
Wow really never seen one one time I saw a subway in a Walmart
My store has a subway in it. Honestly thought that was common lol. It’s not a good subway though, can’t believe it hasn’t been closed yet
Here in Iowa there was subways in most Walmarts, I think they mostly closed and are ogp areas now

They kept me very happy when I worked there.

Really 3 McDonald’s in one location that would be crazy how you decide to which one you go to.
No what I meant to say I have 3 around me now there is only one
I see I gues people are aware of choices and are more likly to choose healty options using door dash
I’m currently in a subway that’s in my store woot woot
We’ve never had anything except a bank and an eye doctor for the past 20 years
So does mine, and it's so great when I get stuck with the opening shift.

The Pretzel places are the best.
I’m so jealous 😭😭
Lucky
Mine has a Subway.
Same
Mine has a Subway that I swear is closed more than 50% of their "operating hours".
One in my town still has a McDonald's.
Oh cool because this is my last one one that was a McDonald’s another Walmart is turning into a Charlie’s
Why did they take all of them out of Walmarts anyways?
From what I heard they non profitable during the pandemic so the ones that didn’t make money shutdown
It was all subways around here, but covid nuked them
My region lost all McDonald's in 2019. Most have nothing. A few have subways. But even that is a rare thing. Most use it as storage.

Blame corporate for constantly pushing OGP to handle more orders no matter the space and personnel limitations
There’s a Burger King in one near me
I've seen more McDonald's than subways in Walmart. Subways have been replaced with e-commerce it seems
One of the Walmarts by me just became a storage room after it closed in 2019
We lost ours a few years ago. Everyone kept expecting something to go in its place but nothing has appeared. Seems like a waste of possible profit for Walmart just having it all boarded up. The other rental spaces in the store have tenants that come and go but something is always there.
Mine swapped to Taco Bell
One of mine is becoming Charlie’s and the other one is nothing just one left
Hate to be maintenance at your store (or in general)
Were a taco bell as well, they lazy and slow there though
Mine used to have a Checker's, but it got closed. Supposedly its getting replaced with a Charlie's Cheese steaks but we'll see.
We had one and it became a subway and now its a Claires
I thought every Walmart had a McDonald’s
They did but in the past years most of them fazed out and the other one by me is becoming a Charlie’s cheese steaks
There's still one in one of the East Las Vegas Walmarts.
We had a famous wok. I want a subway in it now
The Walmart I used to work at when I lived in northern Arkansas had a Mcdonalds
man the mcdonalds in walmart failed hard in my area people would rather buy the fried chicken from the deli lol.
Mine has a dominos. And thanks to that, it’s the only dominos in town
I wish the one in my store would close. Tired of that greasy ass smell!
Mine has a charlies
In my market we still have one with a McDonald's. Store 3350.
Our store wanted a healthier restaurant so we thought Subway would move in. Instead we got.....Burger King?
One of ours has a sushi restaurant and the other nearby is dominoes
Mine used to have a McDonald's, but then they built 1 across the street on its own and then the McD changed to a Burger King!
There’s one in mine in Missouri
No restaurant/fast food wanted to move into our building so we have a false wall that covers a huge empty restaurant room that we used for the health screening room but then market decided it would be better to use it as storage so we then moved the health screening room to a room that was much smaller we used for storage before

Mine had a subway but they took it out
My Walmart that I started at has a McDonalds inside but the one that I moved to does not because we are in a mall and the mall has a food court
What happened to having McDonald’s inside of Walmart?
Dang ours has nothing, but lots of food in the plaza around it
My store has a McDonalds!
Mine has a subway.
Mine has a taco bell 🔔

Some Walmarts have McDonald’s? Only fast food I’ve seen in one was subway. Unless you count the deli, anyway.
I worked at one that had a domino's in it
Y'all are lucky on the food thing I work in a neighborhood market they don't have no restaurants all they have is the deli I never tried the food they cook I heard the food was great but if you want a hamburger or Subway or whatever you got to leave the premises at lunch to get that damn I wish I had a McDonald's in my store.
We have a false wall with a sign that Charlie is coming soon, and this March is going to be two years...
My old store had dominos and my current one has a pet clinic lol
