Smoke shells really are goated, you can shoot smoke ahead of areas you want to move, blind snipers, and you can shoot enemies to blind them and then charge them from the side. I’ve even gotten some kills on open tops and at least one plane kill with smoke rounds!
I have not found a single use for VOG grenades yet. They don’t even break things easily so you don’t slow down. I guess it’s what happens when you put an anti infantry weapon into a game that isn’t enlisted.
Kinda weird the bmp gets a useless weapon modelled while tons of tanks don’t get hull mgs or other fine details. I guess it’s a unique weapon system and quite cool? It would be useful if they did a tank version of heli PvE with the tow crew but other than that it serves no purpose.
I was in some mid-low tier match, the rush wound down so a front line was established.

They are. Worried about an enemy sniper? Piss him off and allow your team to move up. Pinned down? Shoot one at the ground near yourself. Particular sighline not working to your advantage at the moment? Boom.
So underrated for real.

Until the last patch Brit apds made me quit the grind. One shot detonates ammo, the next 5 pass through it with no damage. I hear it's better now but I haven't tried it.

17pdr, 20pdr, 100mm, 105mm APDS consistently doesn’t shell shatter unless you’re aiming for extremely angled plates.

I disagree with the APDS one, it all depends on which gen APDS you use and where you shoot, it still has more post-pen than HEAT-FS (atleast when it's higher caliber).
Alot of APHE needs reworking but IMO the Type 4 Kou which is an APHE on thr Chi-Ri II, Chi-To, Chi-To late and the Chi-Nu II is a gift from god which loves to pen a target you thought will 100% tank it especially in an uptier in the Chi-Ri II and due to its good amount of TNT one hits it. And it feels like a menace on the Chi To when it gets downtired to 3.7
That shell also applies to the matilda hedgehogs.
Fun fact about the VOG-30, it has less explosive and less velocity than the 30mm HE that the bmp gets anyway, making it actually worthless.
Nah HEAT-FS is not that good bro. Those rounds are kill assist masters. And maybe I'm just biased because 105mm DM13 is really good at 8.7, but APDS is an awesome choice if APFSDS isn't available. Especially in the cold war eras, if you're fighting Russia or China a lot ERA makes HEAT useless

Normal fragmentation is at least a tier, because in certain situations u can only see the top of the turret of your enemy.
Plus its a oneshot against pretty much all aa/aaa
proxy rounds are so fun though. nothing like annihilating enemy cas with enormous bombs. the VCC 80/60 gets proxy rounds and it's quite good with them.
Smoke shell is so good for trolling enemies early game, love loading 10 smokes in M51 and smoking every camping spot off in the first minute of a match

This seems more like a Skill Issue tier list rather than anything else. Bro rates HESH, Smoke, and HE rounds as C, D, and F respectively... HE instantly destroys all top-tier MBTs like magic. Large-caliber HESH still instantly eliminates nearly anything, provided you understand how to exploit War Thunder's quirky damage models to your advantage. Smoke is the most underutilized "get out of jail free" card in the game, and most people I encounter daily seem to have no actual idea how to utilize it... You can effectively control an entire battlefield with the Maus by continuously deploying Smoke from the 75mm.

Smoke shells can be very useful. Especially on something like the Maus with a secondary 75. You can carry like 20+ smoke without hurting your main weapon and spam the shit to be extra annoying to enemies
For me apds dose very well but apfsds is dog water I can’t hit any vital points even when I aim for weak spots hopefully as I play Mbts I will get

- All missiles being below HEAT is a crime, considering that missiles typically have more pen and are guided.
- HE-VT missiles being meh is a crime. The platforms that get it can act as low-tier SAMs against enemy helis.
- SAMs being so low is confusing. This tierlist clearly is just general effectiveness since you have HE-VT at a higher rating, SAMs are essentially the most effective anti-air in the game.

For me apds dose very well but apfsds is dog water I can’t hit any vital points even when I aim for weak spots hopefully as I play Mbts I will get Better at using this rounds
HEATFS should be in all of them bec it varies not just From vehicle to vehicle but from shot to shot, it feels like it anyway

I actually really like APDS, at least on the L7 and Friends. It's much more reliable than HEAT, which I only get out for facing a Maus or something. Edit: Wait, why are there two HEATFS? And the HEGMs are awesome, I just kept killing myself with them in the BMP-2M. Reguar HE anything needs to go into Instant Pleasure Why is the VOG over anything? Even shrapnel rounds? Why are proxy missiles so low?

Ahem… - APDS being below APBC is a crime. - All missiles being below HEAT is a crime, considering that missiles typically have more pen and are guided. - HE-VT missiles being meh is a crime. The platforms that get it can act as low-tier SAMs against enemy helis. - SAMs being so low is confusing. This tierlist clearly is just general effectiveness since you have HE-VT at a higher rating, SAMs are essentially the most effective anti-air in the game.

Smoke shells deserve a higher place, its super useful when you use it right. Being able to launch a smokescreen in front of an enemy (group) to blind them and pushing to better spot is a thing i love in lower tiers, i wish more tanks had them.
