Is it the walls dracthyr can spawn with a PVP talent for deep breath? One of the evoked hero talents allows you to steer Deep Breath and change directions. In dragonflight beta there was also a bug and the walls weren’t despawning
No, because the spikes are continually despawning and respawning in different spots every second. They have a “spike up” animation. Someone suggested it might’ve been added by a dev to prevent duels here due to some bug (this was the duel spot on beta since outside of SW was laggy).
Yeah, it doesn't make a lot of sense. Maybe there was some weird bug with that spot that they didn't want exploited? Idk. It just seems weird that this bug corresponds with the exact spot that was the duel spot on beta.
They might have overwritten an effect with them, a subtle wind effect or tumbleweed gets changed in the files to this and it changes everywhere
For example when DF came out they redid the cauldron model and upsized it for djardin and Cookies pot in DM is triple the size
I mean I'm pretty sure the asset was scaled and that's part of the issue, the base cauldron was smaller prior so they gave it a size modifier, the issue starts when the new cauldron asset is larger so now that modifier makes it a huge pot and Cookie is like a 1/10th of the size of it
it would also help make the world seem more alive and up to date to current events. it's wierd when you leave the dragon isles and there are still twilight hammers roaming the barrens.
A Cataclysm-like rework of the Old World would let them do things like properly bring Silvermoon into the rest of the game, letting it be fully attached to the continent and allow flying, instead of it being trapped the way it was when it was released \~17 years ago and wasn't updated for Cata the first time around.
Just curious, is there a character in the game with the name spelled that way? I had a childhood friend that named a gnome warlock Nomi. He has since passed but I would love to go and find this npc if it exists in game.

We met him in Pandaria when he was a cub, where the player acted as his cooking teacher. He appeared again in Legion's Dalaran where you could give him cooking materials to experiment with. He'd sometimes spit out a new cooking recipe for you, as a result of his experimentation, but would otherwise just give you back "Badly Burnt Food" which became a community meme that he just burnt everything you gave him.
I thought it was trees first and was like "Yeah, kinda makes sense that alot of new trees has sprung up since we were in Westfall last time. It's like time has actually passed there." 😅
So actual explanation: a lot us on the beta duel in Westfall to avoid the beta lag (outside of stormwind is no bueno). I believe this has something to do with a warlock ability (could be mistaken), but they are trying to block off the area that we normally duel at.
I like to imagine this is a subtle way to introduce the pre-patch, as if the events that lead into the expansion don't just start with the pre-patch, but have been slowly apearing the previous months, kinda like how during late Wrath we could feel tremors and banging sounds all over the old world before we knew about Deathwing and Cataclysm

Maybe he is hacking idk but for 3 days he was in org spam casting the ability by the target dummies and the beta venders HEAVILY reducing the FPS of everyone.
Its not something crazy in the next xpac unfortunately, it was some troll trying to ruin everyone’s beta experience lol
