Death didn't change his persona. He just changed his form and gave Leviathan a different name.
Since Leviathan didn't know that the riders can change their appearance, this served to calm him down enough to listen to Death, something that the riders so far could not achieve.
Ohh okay then. Just thought it would be interesting if each of the 4 used to make their perspective rider had their own individual form the rider could turn into.
Though the more I think about it the more complicated that sounds
Originally, I planned for the scene where Leviathan gets rescued by the riders that War would change appearance to Terra, and that the riders would put their powers to use to recreate her personality.
But I scraped that idea for a very simple reason. Terra is gone. Not just dead, but literally gone. Ceased to exist. The whole theme around the merging of souls being so heinous would have les meaning if you could bring the lost souls back somehow or simulate them.
As long as the story will keep coming and not be abandoned, take your time, write at your own pace. we can wait for something that is coming, but to leave this wonderful universe to slowly fade away would be the real shame. Great job so far, keep it up.
Meh, it's OK. But it is hard for me to consider myself talented, when I read stories like

However, I can guarantee you this, I will still be the last person on earth to acknowledge my own potentially existing talents.
I generally suck at evaluating myself, no matter if we are talking about skill or talent. Unless I have solid prof that I believe in, I will usually underestimate myself, or not even try to make any assumptions at all. My perception of my lack of talent most certainly stems from that.
So, yeah. I might have some talent. But I won’t be the one to acknowledge that any time soon. I usually can’t acknowledge my own skills without feeling arrogant unless I have prof, and that transfers over to talents. I don’t think I am talented. In anything to be honest. I just do what I do because I enjoy it and try to get better along the way.

It is not abandoned. It just suffers from a writer with lacking inspiration and a procrastination problem.
All in all, I do very much plan to continue it, but I have trouble doing so.
