Thanks to recent incidents we have decided to upgrade our security measures. Yes, we know these new additional gates are essentially just reinforced baby gates, but they do prevent humans from just sprinting by our guards.
Yes, we are also aware that this is a grave insult to our human personnel as we make use of baby gates that make it impossible for most normal humans to get into the facilities without assistance instead of implementing full gates, but the decision was partially of financial nature.

Like, yeah, Rats are cute and nice and sweet. And rats only turn into the vicious monsters the Skaven are referencing when their population density is too high.
But the Skaven have the Great Horned Rat God standing about 10 feet behind them with a fistful of plague lightning, ready to smite a rat at the first sight of "niceness."
Besides, super ancap evil World War one rats are so gosh damn cool of an idea already.
I can personally attest that a lanyard with your picture in it, a tablet, and a collared shirt with the company logo which you bought at the gift shop can get you WAY too many places you don’t belong.
Also works if you look like a guy who's there to fix something. My source? I'm a carpenter (apprentice) and I've been let into too many police stations too easily.
